Ductless System Maintenance & Inspections
Quiet Comfort Requires Consistent Care. Let’s Protect Your Investment.
The Problem: Ductless Systems Get Overlooked—Until They Fail
Ductless mini-split systems are some of the most efficient and effective HVAC solutions available today. But despite their sleek design and whisper-quiet performance, they still require regular maintenance.
- Dirty filters cause airflow problems
- Clogged coils reduce cooling power
- Drain blockages lead to water leaks
- Sensor or communication faults can leave zones inoperable
And because ductless systems often run year-round, the wear adds up quickly. At Falco’s, we help you avoid costly breakdowns with routine, data-backed preventative care—done right.
The Promise: Efficiency, Longevity, and Peace of Mind
When properly maintained, ductless systems maintain top-tier efficiency, operate quietly and consistently, last longer with fewer repairs, qualify for extended Mitsubishi warranties, protect your home from water and electrical issues. Preventative maintenance isn’t an expense—it’s an investment in uninterrupted comfort.
- High system efficiency
- Balanced airflow and zoned comfort
- Warranty protection
- Smart system communication
- Healthy indoor air quality
Our Ductless Maintenance & Inspection Process
Step 1: Arrival & Consultation
- Technician arrives on time and in uniform
- Discusses system performance, unusual noises, or remote issues
- Reviews system history and Legacy Membership status (if applicable)
- Locates and inspects all indoor units and outdoor condenser
Step 2: Full System Evaluation (Zone-by-Zone)
We perform a complete 20+ point inspection of each indoor unit:
- Remove and clean washable filters
- Clean evaporator coil and blower wheel (light service)
- Inspect vane motors, drain pan, and drain line
- Check communication between unit and outdoor system
- Confirm remote control operation and temperature setpoint
- Measure supply temperature vs. ambient
- Inspect mounting integrity and electrical connections
We perform a complete 20+ point inspection of each outdoor unit:
- Inspect coil cleanliness and condition
- Test fan motor performance
- Measure refrigerant pressure and charge
- Inspect line set insulation and drain clearance
- Verify inverter board operation and amp draw
- Check system error codes and logs (if applicable)
- Test overall system operation and modulation behavior
All data is logged, evaluated, and clearly shared with you.
Step 3: Targeted Maintenance Tasks
- Filter cleaning or replacement (if under plan or customer-supplied)
- Drain flush (if clogged or slow draining)
- Light coil rinse for indoor/outdoor units (weather and access permitting)
- Minor adjustment to controls or communication errors
- Tightening of terminals and securement of wiring
We never over-clean, over-charge, or push parts that aren’t needed. Our approach is to preserve your equipment—not prematurely replace it.
Step 4: Clear Reporting & Honest Recommendations
After the visit, we’ll:
- Share detailed findings and photos if needed
- Explain any signs of concern or early-stage wear
- Offer options for deeper cleaning or repairs only if truly necessary
- Recommend the best next step—whether it’s nothing at all or smart planning for the future
No pressure. No sales pitch. Just informed ownership.
Why Ductless Systems Need Maintenance—Even When They Seem Fine
Ductless units often run quietly and continuously, which makes them easy to forget. But:
- Internal fans and coils collect dust, reducing efficiency
- Filters clog quickly in high-use areas (kitchens, bedrooms, offices)
- Drain lines can back up without visible symptoms—until it’s too late
- Wall-mounted heads are often installed higher and harder to clean correctly without service tools
Preventative maintenance is the best way to protect both performance and aesthetics of your system.
